Construction Manager – 2021 – Present

  • Provide overall on-site management for commercial construction projects from planning to completion.
  • Arrange and schedule multiple subcontractors to meet hard deadlines and tight schedules.
  • Coordinate and oversee the activities and performance of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
  • Supervise completion of punch lists, closeout documentation, and demobilize the job site after a project.

JM COPE CONSTRUCTION, Fort Mill, SC

Project Superintendent – 2016 – 2021

  • Completed Superintendent Apprenticeship Program and progressed from lead helper assisting an experienced Superintendent to running jobs in two years.
  • Successfully completed renovation at USC Lancaster and a hybrid renovation/expansion of the historic Monroe Center Theatre in Monroe, North Carolina.
  • Completed shell building in Fort Mill, SC. Additionally, managed subcontractors, created schedules and maintained a high level of safety.
  • Completed many self-perform tasks, including footers and rebar, framing and blocking, precast concrete panels as well as pouring concrete equipment pads, concrete flat work for ramps and sidewalks as well as decorative concrete curbs.

Project Superintendent – 2011 – 2016

  • Started as a laborer with no experience at a pavement maintenance and restoration company specializing in asphalt.
  • Earned the superintendent position and quickly became the “go-to” crew for concrete repairs. Increased productivity nearly two-fold while maintaining a high level of quality and without increasing the personnel.
  • Continually met and exceeded management expectations, remaining flexible, adapting the project as dictated by the environment.
  • Operated a work truck with a trailer attached, skid steer loader, mini excavator and various other small engine machines, including jackhammers, floor saws, hand saws, plate tamps and vibrating rollers.
